How to Series: A stylish welcome for the busy woman

Hi all,

Are you a business woman with a busy schedule and rarely find yourself with any downtime to focus on your home –  This post may be for you, ladies. In fact, if you are a busy stay at home Mom or work from home Mom with the same dilemma, this post is for you too!

As an interior designer with a busy schedule, even I find it hard to come home and focus on my home. Over the years, I have learned a thing or two on tackling this dilemma. One of the biggest lessons I learned in my own home is creating an entrance that makes me feel welcomed and so happy to be home. I want the same for you, so here are three quick and easy ways to do just that.

The front door- A fun welcome mat, pretty wreath and greenery. One, two, three… welcome home!

The entry- Stylish storage in your entryway. Decluttering a space is one of the easiest ways to create a sense of calm in your home. Stylish baskets, a bench or functional accessories, or opt for a table with drawers.

The styled entry- Add some decor along with the functional storage. Depending on the amount of space you have to work with there are so many ways you can incorporate some decor to give your entry a designer’s touch. For large spaces – an accent chair or table (or both) and a lamp. For smaller spaces – a rug, shelf for decor, a simple piece of art or mirror.
