Last week we spoke about the latest Summer Trends this year – natural fibers, plants, navy blue, florals and botanicals, and performance fabrics and since we officially welcomed Summer, I’d like to elaborate on some more trends – outdoor trends. If you need a patio refresher before some social distancing entertaining, here are some ideas on how you can incorporate the seasons’ outdoor trends.
Bringing the indoors out. Let your patio feel like an extension of your home by incorporating similar colors, textures and styling of your interior. Hang an outdoor chandelier, pendants or even string lights to give the illusion of a ceiling. Use awnings, privacy walls or even drapes to create an intimate feeling and consider a sectional as opposed to multiple lounge chairs.
Warm tones and natural textures. This is definitely an indoor-outdoor trend. Earthy hues like terra-cotta, coral, golden yellow, browns and olive green are the perfect palette to create an inviting and cozy space. These colors can be used to bring in pops of color through furnishings, accessories and lighting.
One of the biggest outdoor living trends this year is an outdoor kitchen bar – the perfect addition for hosting an outdoor party and a great way to keep traffic out of the kitchen. This trend doesn’t require a patio renovation, check out these stylish and functional outdoor bars for the perfect addition to your Summer patio.
See you on the patio!
