Outdoor Entertaining-Welcome back!

Outdoor Entertaining-Welcome back!

Social distancing is on its way out and Summer is around the corner! I am so happy to have the opportunity to gather with friends and family once again. It has been a very hard time for all of us, but it’s time to celebrate the good times and catch up on all we have missed out on. So, what better time than now to prepare your backyard for some outdoor entertaining!

Our backyards, patios and balconies became a spot for more than just lounging and grilling during the pandemic – it was a quiet retreat from during quarantine, a space to workout and even an office space. It’s time to spruce it up and welcome the guests!

Start with a seamless transition from the indoors to the outdoors. A great tip I’ve learned is to arrange your furniture as if the outdoor and indoor were the same room – treat both spaces as one room.

Make your outdoor space more livable by outfitting it for year-round use. Take advantage of the variety of sizes fire pits and heat lamps are available in and add a little warmth and ambiance no matter the size  of your space. Layer heavy throws on your outdoor furniture, throw down a rug to add texture and a look of the indoors.

Outdoor kitchen was more than just a trend last year, it turned into a change of scenery from the main kitchen and kind of a night out (no pun intended). Pizza ovens have become a popular addition to backyard patios. Complete renovations include add-ons that include a prep space, sink, storage and fridge to supplement the indoor kitchen. Adding modular furniture or even a simple grill update with a few bells and whistles will give your backyard cooking that extra something.

Stock up on some outdoor games! There’s no better way to get the whole family involved than an old fashioned game night – outdoor style. One of the big trends of 2021 is oversized outdoor games, like Jenga, Dice and this super fun Connect Four.
