If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to hire a designer, but I have no idea where to even begin,” — you’re not alone.
A lot of people assume that working with an interior designer means handing over their entire home (and budget) to a stranger who makes all the decisions. Others feel like they need to have everything figured out before they even reach out. But the truth is — neither of those things are true.
Hiring a designer is meant to make your life easier, not more overwhelming. In fact, our job is to meet you where you are and guide you every step of the way.
So today, we’re pulling back the curtain and walking you through what it’s actually like to work with us — from that first consultation to the final install.
Step 1: The Consultation – Let’s Talk
Every project starts with a conversation. Whether it’s in person, over the phone, or via Zoom, this is our chance to get to know each other. We talk through your goals, what’s working (or not working) in your current space, your style preferences, and your budget. And more importantly, we listen.
You don’t need a mood board, floor plan, or “vision” to start — just a willingness to share what you love and how you want your home to feel.
Client Testimonial: Michelle did an amazing job! She started working with us when we were just getting started with a build in Suncadia. We gave her a bit of input on the look we were going for and she ran with it. We were impressed with her ability to pull together the look throughout the entire house from design, finishes and furniture. – Laurie
Step 2: Design Development – Bringing the Vision to Life
Once we’ve nailed down the scope and direction of your project, we start designing. This phase includes floor plans, color palettes, materials, furnishings, finishes, lighting, and all the layered elements that bring a space together.
We present everything to you in a clear, visual format so you can really see the vision — and we refine it with your feedback.
Whether you prefer to be hands-on or are happy to let us take the lead, we tailor the experience to your style and comfort level.

Step 3: Procurement & Project Management – We Handle the Details
Once the design is finalized, we take it from there. We source, order, track, schedule, coordinate vendors, and manage all the moving parts behind the scenes.
You won’t be chasing down backorders or dealing with delivery issues — we handle that. Our goal is to keep things smooth and stress-free while keeping you in the loop.
We also work closely with builders, contractors, and trades if your project involves renovations or construction, ensuring every detail aligns with the design intent.
Client Testimonial: Michelle consistently helped us stay on track and within budget to accomplish our desired final design. She provided the vision and execution we needed in working with our contractor to resolve various issues that came up during our project. Michelle was the consistent voice of reason. Her involvement assured us that we would complete our remodel with the desired results. Michelle was unfailingly calm, methodical and reassuring, as well as diplomatic and kind. We are thrilled with our remodeled home and could not have accomplished it without Michelle’s guidance. – Cyndi
Step 4: Installation Day – The Big Reveal
This is where the magic happens. Once everything is ready, we schedule a full installation — from furniture placement to styling the final pillow. You’ll walk into a finished, cohesive space that feels like you… just elevated. Leaving our clients with a home they can be proud of is what truly brings us the most joy.
