Design meets Fashion

Design meets Fashion

Hi All,

Interior designers are constantly drawing inspiration from all aspects of life and our surroundings – from architecture, global trends or even by a walk through our own city streets. Design inspiration is all around us and the sources are endless. One of the biggest sources being the fashion design world. Both interior design and fashion design tend to follow the same trends, prints, colors and texture from season to season. I thought it would be fun to share with you just how those worlds merge by drawing a little bit of inspiration from my very own portfolio.

The Master Bedroom from the Lincoln Tower High Rise was designed for a busy professional seeking an easy going atmosphere to come home to. We did just that, but didn’t skimp on the luxury! Naturally, I found myself in a business casual state of mind when seeking inspiration for this curation.

A classy yet casual jumpsuit from set the tone ASTR The Label sets the stage. Pops of orange and blue in this Tory Burch handbag and wrap bracelet keep with a Spring mood. A crisp pair of flats are always a good idea – I love these loafer-inspired flats by Steve Madden.

Stay tuned for more fashion inspired designs from the Michelle Yorke Design portfolio!

Kindly~Michelle
