What’s happening on Mercer Island?

Our design studio is located on Mercer Island, a charming town well worth the visit! With the weather turning nice, I’d like to explore and share a few fun things to do in the area. There is a variety of recreation and outdoor activities that are worth the visit.

Experience the Outdoors on Mercer Island:

A good walk through the park is a wonderful way to enjoy the sunshine when visiting Mercer Island. A couple of my favorites – Pioneer Park and Luther Burbank Park. There are a few lovely parks as well as four public beaches. You can enjoy picnics, swimming, paddle boarding, boating, hiking and simply a playdate at the dog park.

Something Sweet:

Oh Chocolate! is a classic, family-owned local shop that sells delicious, artisan chocolates. They also teach all things chocolate with classes for adults and kids. (Count me in!) If that wasn’t enough… they also offer shipping – so once you’ve fallen in love, you can send a box to someone special too.

Something Creative:

Mercer Island’s First Friday Art Walk is a great way to experience the local art galleries. There is also an outdoor sculpture gallery, Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery, that features several beautiful sculptures.

Local Mercer Island Fare:

Browse the local Farmer’s Market – every Sunday June through October. Shop fresh produce, freshly caught fish, crafts, treats and flowers. A great stop for Happy Hour – Roanoke Inn – it is the oldest business on Mercer Island. A casual pub style restaurant with a pretty patio for dining al fresco.

Celebrate Summer!

July 13th, Mercer Island hosts their Summer Celebration with a parade, fireworks, food trucks, art vendors and entertainment.

See you on Mercer Island!

Kindly,

Michelle
