Home Sweet Home…this saying…it has so much more meaning and purpose in these current times our country is dealing with COVID-19. You’ve seen and heard the saying a million times…printed on many different formats for decoration, greeting cards, you name it.
I have one myself, and right now when I glance at it placed on a shelf next to family pictures it is a reminder of thankfulness for having a home and creating an environment that is both functional and nurturing to myself and my family.
The definition of home is “the place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household.” The word does not define the size, shape, the materials used to build it, or the price tag on it. Large or small, simple or elaborate – it is your dwelling place, your refuge right now, your own castle. I would encourage you to take a few minutes each day and turn the news off, tune the noise out and simply be thankful for all your home means to you and all it is providing for you right now.
