Project Reveal: Park City

Project Reveal: Park City

When our previous clients in Washington state asked me if we could design and furnish their new home in Park City Utah, without hesitation, I said yes!!

And just like that we were off and running.

What is fun about this client and project is they called me in May of 2020 during the COVID lockdown. They lived in NYC and had bought a new home in Snohomish, WA without even seeing it in person. They asked if we could work with them remotely to design and furnish their home. And have it move in ready when they drove out from New York.

We learned quickly how to navigate Zoom, share our designs in a digital format and use Face Time when we were at their home to go over the many details. It worked great! The end result is my favorite detail….we handled everything for them!

We had all the furniture installed, art hung, beds made, bathroom linens and essentials set up. They were due to arrive at the home around 10pm at night. We even stocked the refrigerator with the basics they would need for breakfast, including the coffee maker set up with fresh coffee for their first morning in their new home. It was an overwhelming moment for them when they arrived. The text message I received was, “We are literally overwhelmed! It looks beyond amazing, and our favorite detail is the coffee ready to go for tomorrow morning. You truly went above and beyond.”

Fast track 3 years to 2023 and when I got the call to work with them again on their newly purchased, near completion home in Park City, we were all in.

Designing remotely with a few travel trips to be on site for the installation and set up was very streamlined! We also engaged some great local trades and resources who helped us do the heavy lifting and installations! Well ok, they did all the heavy lifting and I just told them where to place things. It was a great collaboration! We love working on out of state projects and have all our processes in place to design and execute them very well!

The home is located in a beautiful area near Park City. It offers views of the mountains and hillside from most rooms in the home. We carried through the warm and cool earth tones of the natural landscape surrounding the home along with the natural stone, metal finishes and warm wood tones of the flooring and cabinetry. We accented with pops of black and earth tones with patterns.

The media room is another mix of warm and cool earth tones playing off the fireplace stone. A great area for family hangouts or larger groups of entertaining.

Wood Stools Marble Bar
The stairs are such an architectural focal point! We loved the idea of bringing in the natural wood and metal into the stools for a fun and casual seating area at the bar.

The guest suite is warm and inviting with a fun mix of raw hide on the rug, faux fur on the bench and wood and marble top bedside chests and dresser. Casual and inviting for weekend guests.

The sweetest coastal inspired nursery. Our client not only loves the mountains but loves to travel to beach destinations. We designed this ocean friends nursery with a modern wave wallpaper on an accent wall. This room has the cuteness for all the cuddles and story times to come!

The bathrooms were designed and completed by the builder so we just came through and put the warm and textural touches on each one to complete the design and set up the essentials.

We are beyond thrilled with the end result and most importantly, we are thrilled that our clients LOVE their new Park City home! And we completed it in time for the arrival of their new baby…Phew!!
