My summer was filled with both fun and adventure! In July, I had a wonderful family vacation in Kauai. It was a much needed time of rest and relaxation with my family. Creating memories that will last a lifetime filled my Mom heart beyond. I turned around and re-packed my suitcase for NYC for the Interior Design Society Conference and Designer of the year awards gala.
Great speakers, content, industry friends and fun events filled the conference! I had the pleasure of hearing designer Alexa Hampton speak to our group. Benjamin Moore paint hosted is in luxury suite at the Yankees game, and we had an amazing architectural boat tour of NYC! What fun to see the city skyline and the Statue of Liberty from a different viewpoint!

I had the extreme honor of receiving two awards. 1st runner for the Bedroom Design category and the winner of the Best Design Blog! It was a fun and memorable evening for sure!

The bedroom that won 1st Runner Up –
This is one of my favorites: our Sammamish Coastal master bedroom)! This bedroom was designed for our busy clients with two small kiddos who wanted a bedroom that was relaxing and calm – with subtle colors and textures. We layered tones and shades of neutrals using machine washable linens from our bedding lines. We also created a cozy reading corner for bedtime snuggles and story time with their children.
