Highpoint Market Highlights

Highpoint Market Highlights

Hi All!

I just returned from Spring Market in Highpoint, North Carolina.  It was an amazing trip and I’d love to share with you all (or y’all as they say in the South) my highlights and what’s new and next in the home furnishings industry.

This “Crush on Blush” look is still on fire as shown in this room display by Precedent furniture.

Highpoint Market - The Blush Trend

White…a lot of white. In fabrics, light fixtures, and accents – you name it, it was everywhere. And I’m a huge fan! Especially with the ease of care in performance fabrics that allows us to use whites more and more in our homes.

Whites mixed with rich texture! The cube ottomans from Palecek are extremely soft and comfortable.

Still a mix of metal finishes; brushed brass, black, both polished chrome and satin nickel, and the mix of several seems to be hot.

High Contrast – very dark, combined with white or very light, and mixed in with metals. Such a powerful statement!

Just for Fun – These vanity cabinets by Oomph! I love the fun colors and detailed accents.  I can’t wait to use them on a project.

Pattern and color! There was no shortage of great fabrics showing wonderful patterns and rich, bold colors! Stand out colors were definitely green and blue. The Thibaut Showroom showed off pattern and color with their fabric and wallcoverings quite nicely!

Do you love pillows as much as I do? Great varieties in color, texture and pattern.

My favorite piece overall had to be this gorgeous leather chair and ottoman from Thayer Coggin. The rich green leather, mixed with both polished chrome and a wood accent, was just stunning! My iPhone picture does not do it justice!

Now I’m back in my studio energized with inspiration and ideas from Spring market at Highpoint and ready to create beautiful and amazing interior spaces for my clients.
